The Festival

The 2nd Annual Shreveport Stuffed Shrimp Festival will be held, at 11:00 am to 9pm on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds 3710 Hudson Avenue Shreveport Louisiana.

The festival is a family-friendly event celebrating the unique style of stuffed shrimp that were created and popularized in Shreveport as well as the cultural and historical significance of this beloved regional specialty.

The festival will include live musical entertainment, historical presentations, food trucks, food and non food vendors, art and crafts, a kid friendly (Stuffed Shrimpland) with games, face painting, live animals, bounce houses and much more.

The Shreveport Stuffed Shrimp Festival is a presentation of the Eddie E. Hughes Foundation, a Shreveport based nonprofit organization. The Foundation is named in honor of the late great Chef Eddie Hughes.

The Stuffed Shrimp Festival will sponsor deserving high school seniors attend culinary schools after graduation.  As in the story of Eddie Hughes it shows how important it is to prepare underprivileged children at an early age the skills in culinary that can possibly last a life time.
